Fast Feet Jack & Jill Competition

Back in the 90s Fast Feet competitions have always been a highlight and a great challenge for every dancer. Who took pride in him/herself was present. In recent years Marcus and Bärbl continued with this tradition at the Herräng Dance Camp and also created a new form “The Fast Feet Jack & Jill Competition”.

In Jack&Jill Competitions the dance partners will be assigned by lot.
No one knows before whom he/she will dance with. The main judging criteria is the couple work and the harmony with each partner. In the preliminary rounds everybody will dance with about four to five different partners. Judges will vote the best leaders (Jacks) and the best followers (Jills) to the final round.

Additionally the Jack&Jill Competition will become tougher due to the “Fast Feet Factor”. In each round the music increases in speed.

The final round will be a real challenge and nothing for softies. As before, the partners will rotate in each round randomly. The judges will anonymously remove the weakest couple in each round until three couples are left. The following final dance will be judged by the audience. The volume of its clapping will decide about the placements. It is planned to have a separate Lindy Hop and Boogie Woogie category.

In addition to the especially and invaluable honor to win the Fast Feet Cup, the placed couples will win interesting prizes
