Evenings
Different venues—from smaller cozy studios up to the grand night at the “Deutsches Theater”—let you experience the feeling of the Swingin’ Forties and the Rockin’ Fifties.
Each night presents multiple bands and DJs, that belong to the best in the world and will make your fingers snip and your body move.
The line-up of the best international teachers and performers will perform incredible shows at the Jamboree Ball at the Deutsches Theater Marquee. The show program includes showcases of Lindy Hop, Charleston, Burlesque, Balboa and Boogie Woogie—and, like every year, the anticipated teachers’ jam will mark the climax of the show program.
The Rock That Swing Festival also offers a series of open contests in Lindy Hop and Boogie Woogie. Watch the best dancers compete for honor and great prizes. The contests will be held from Friday to Monday.
For the untiring ones After Hour Parties will give you more time to party and dance until you drop. Starting at 01:30 am they will take place at the Vintage Club after the evening venues on Friday and Saturday.

Dress Code
../rtsf/timetable.aspxIn general we want to encourage you to accomplish the atmosphere of the dance nights with a stylish outfit; best would be 40s or 50s style of course. Training pants and t-shirts are meant for training and are not suitable for a delightful evening. If you don’t have special vintage clothing you can’t go wrong with a nice dress for the girls or a nice suit for the guys. You can also shop chic clothing, dance shoes, accessories, the newest CDs, DVDs, and Rock That Swing souvenirs during the Festival at the Vintage Market.
