Arrival by Plane

Munich Airport (Franz-Josef-Strauß)

From Munich Airport (Franz-Josef-Strauß) you can get into the city by train (S-Bahn) , Aiport Bus or a cab. A cab ride costs about 70-80 Euro and takes about 30-50 minutes. Going with the Aiport Bus or the S-Bahn is easy and cheap. The stations are located right at the airport just follow the signs!

Normally the S-Bahn is the fastest way to get into the city. If you are a group of people or want to continue on the public transportation system it is also the cheapest. The travel time to the city is about 40 minutes.

You can take both trains that leave from the airport, S8 and S1. From the exit "Karlsplatz/Stachus" it’s only a 3 minute walk to the Check-In. (Just be careful when you ride back to the airport. The S1 is split midway and only one half of the train goes to the airport. Check the signs at the train.)

Airport Memmingen

Ryanair, WizzAir, and other low-cost airlines fly only to Airport Memmingen. Even it is also called Munich-West it is about 110 km away from Munich. You need to take a train or a bus into Munich (a bus ride into Munich takes about 1,5 hours). Please check early for possibilities on the airport website.

Arrival by Train

Your destination is "München Hauptbahnhof". You can find the timetable information and book the tickets for the German railway system at www.bahn.de. From Hauptbahnhof it is a 5 minute walk to the Check-In.

Arrival by Car

Parking

Parking at the roadside is only free on Sundays and after 11 pm until the morning. Normally parking at the roadside or in parking structures is quite expensive. Some hotels offer special parking rates for their guests.

Reduced Parking

The parging garage that offered RTSF participants special discounts in the past years has been torn down. We are still checking for other offers and will let you know if we can arrange something.
